Setup Cannot Continue Because a Required File is Either Corrupted or Not Available Office 2016
Hi Amit,
I know how frustrating it is if you are unable to install purchased edition of Office 2013.
From which website did you download Office 2013?
You may sign in to the www.office.com/myaccount and check if it displays Office in the account page?
If yes, you may start the computer in clean boot mode and then try to download and install Office 2013 and verify the status:
Refer the article below to start the computer in clean boot:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: Ensure to restart the computer in normal mode after completing the troubleshooting steps.
I hope the above information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.
Thank you.

I had exactly the same problem, redownloaded twice without fixing it then moved the download folder to the root of C:\ this fixed the problem, it seems the installer falls over with deep nested paths.

Hello
I had the same problem. I managed to get this working by unpacking the file to another machine and then running the setup from a share on that machine. I can see why the daemon tools method would work as well.
Hope this helps.

I'm having the same issue and moving it closer to c:\ has not helped. It had previously installed but due to an issue with Powerpivot I uninstalled it and am trying to re-install.

Hi
In order to assist you better I need more details:
- Are you installing the Office suite from the MY account page or using the DVD?
- Did you click on Run or Save while downloading from "My account page"?
Try the steps below and check the result:
Start the computer in clean boot mode and then try to install the program.
Note: Ensure to save the download file.
Refer to the link below to know how to start the computer in clean boot mode:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: Ensure to restart the computer to normal mode (Step 3 in the above link) once the troubleshooting is complete.
Clean boot is performed to disable all startup programs and 3rd party services on the computer and check if they are conflicting with the Office program. If so, you may disable the unwanted software which conflict with the suite or update the same.
Let us know the result.
Thank you.

Dear communityI am trying to install MS office 2013 professional plus on my toshiba laptop (Toshiba Satellite S855D-S5148) in which Windows 8is pre-installed.
I have purchased an (authorised) online version of office so have downloaded from a link and not from a cd.When i click on the setup icon to begin the installation I get the following message.Any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance
Amit Taneja
Setup error -Setup cannot continue because a required file is either corrupted or not available. Run setup again from the original source disc or download location
I had a similar issue.
In this case, I feel the reason for the problem you are facing 'Source Install is corrupted'. It could have happened during transfer/copy. To verify if this is the cause, find the SHA1 of you Install file and confirm that SHA1 is matching. If not, you might have to get the installation files again.

I had the same problem. I downloaded the ISO file, extracted using a default system ISO viewer and it didnt help. Daemon tools trial didnt help either. So I just used a tool called 7-zip (like winzip) and it worked fine.
This problem probably has to do with the program used to extract the iso files. Make sure you use a proper tool like winzip, 7-zip, winrar, etc.
Hope this helps.
